SCHOOL OF PREACHING

Well, it is as close to happening as it has ever been. We have been meeting with local congregations and we have a target date of January 15, 2010 for the first class of our “Southeast Louisiana Biblical Institute”.  The website for SLBI is www.bayoubible.com

RADIO PROGRAM

The radio program- NOT JUST ANOTHER GOSPEL PROGRAM -is headed into its third month.  I have begun to archive the programs on our main web site.  The very first week is uploaded and ready.  You can access it here.   I plan on keeping the previous month on the web site.

NEW RADIO PROGRAM

Beginning June 22 South Terrebonne church of Christ will start a new radio program on WLNO 1060 AM. The program is a 15 minute program Monday – Friday from 10:30 to 10:45 AM. It is called NOT JUST ANOTHER GOSPEL PROGRAM

LADIES’ DAY

The first group begin the tasks of: picking, tearing, plucking, and dipping.

We had @ 62 this year.  The count was hard to get because of the children running around and the adults running back for 2nds, 3rds, [...]

& it begins- Crawfish Boil ‘09

The cooks (boilers) showed up early and began to work AND to sample their product.

As the crawfish are taken out of the pot they are kept ready in “ice” chests.  No, they also stay warm and fresh (assuming you don’t add ice).

MARDI GRAS ain’t Great

It is hard for those who haven’t witnessed it to understand just how disruptive Mardi Gras is even for those of us in little old Montegut.
Because of crowds and some rowdiness we have to suspend Sunday evening and Tuesday Bible Class on Mardi Gras weekend and on Mardi Gras day (Tuesday).  Here are some pictures [...]

FENCE UPDATE

LADIES DAY @ HICKORY KNOLL

Ten of our sisters went to New Orleans today (Saturday 25th).  They had a great time.
The congregation, Hickory Knoll Church of Christ, was severly damaged during Katrina and Rita.

They have come back strong and added a “Spanish” congregation in the past two years
